WHAT ARE SAWTOOTH SHELF BRACKETS?

Skilled craftsmen have been using sawtooth shelf brackets for hundreds of years. Traditional cabinet makers in the 16th Century, looked for ways to create versatile shelves inside handcrafted cabinets.

Their solution combines style and flexibility. They cut solid wood supports in a triangular or ‘sawtooth’ pattern and placed these brackets in the four corners of a cabinet. They then used adjustable cleats, or long wedges of wood, to support each shelf on the bracket.

The result is a traditional and sturdy shelf system used by professional kitchen-makers and cabinet-makers across the world.

Reproducing this traditional shelving system, our classical Sawtooth Shelf Brackets are made by hand in our dedicated workshop located on the border between North Yorkshire and Lancashire. Our carefully crafted shelf brackets are strong, stylish and reliable.

With their solid wood charm, Sawtooth Shelf Brackets look equally fantastic in conventional kitchens, modern lounges, bedrooms, offices, workspaces, or anywhere that needs a stable and versatile shelving system.
